I believe that one of the roles of art is to represent what is invisible to the naked eye. And for my work, this includes visualizing the truth of life and the universe as taught by cutting-edge astrophysics, the Lotus Sutra, the highest philosophy from the East, and the poetry that expresses beauty, truth, love and hope. And it is also about visualizing the depths of the human psyche, emotions that are difficult to express in words or voice, supernova explosions in the heart and mind, heartbeats that overlap with the waves of the planets, the breath of new life created by fragments of stars at the end of their lives, the organic scent of roses at 10am, the language of clouds, sun and moon, wind paths drawn in the sky, billions of light years of light reaching the depths of cells. My latest series of works, Planetary Inner Self, is an encounter with this 'inner self' that builds on the aesthetics of my art. It is a story of healing and revival that begins the moment we truly merge with the beauty of the great planet and the fertile cultural heritage of humanity. I consider that it is probably a romantic, symbolistic and surrealistic x-ray work in the eyes of the heart. And the inspiration as the DNA of the light that emanates from the women in Botticelli's, Da Vinci's paintings and the Greek goddess sculpture, the winged victory of Nike of Samothrace, makes me create them.
